Keep Walking
is a community based bushwalking organisation which offers bush /
leisure walks at various difficulty levels six days of the week for
most of the year, on a four term basis.
Walks are
generally held in parks and reserves in Metropolitan Adelaide, with some
in near country locations. On occasion, a series of day walks in a
country area may be offered: eg Kangaroo Island, Flinders Ranges.
Most fitness
levels may be accommodated as each walk proceeds at a speed attainable
by the slowest member, thereby allowing all to enjoy the natural
environment.
Those
involved in bushwalking come from a wide variety of backgrounds and most
seem quite comfortable in sharing many of their life experiences with
fellow walkers. New friendships are formed, and 'the group' is often
considered a form of extended family.
Walk leaders have appropriate qualifications and have undertaken
first aid training.
